It was interesting to see Ms Short’s performance at the Chilcott Inquiry yesterday.
She seemed to enter with a vengeance, with her anecdotes about Tony Blair effectively ‘warning off’ any dissent ahead of his Cabinet meetings, and any attempt to voice concern being ‘shouted down’ during meetings.
Can’t make my mind up whether she’s simply taking this opportunity to settle old scores, or whether she’s genuinely concerned that the inquiry gets to the truth.
Either way, the applause from the public gallery when she finished giving evidence was a stark contrast to Mr Blair’s exit last week.
