The Lanes in Brighton – a fun destination

Enjoyed the first of a well-earned couple of days off with my kids today, and on the spur of the moment we drove down to Brighton.

The day really brightened up, and by the time we parked in The Lanes, it was a chilly buit gloriously sunny morning. The Lanes were bustling as traders put up bunting and re-decked their shop windows.

Brighton has an atmosphere all its own, and with new stores opening all the time, it’s a real ‘shop til you drop’ location for two young kids!

My credit card hammered, I suggested we take another trip on the open top bus to Devil’s Dyke. Having walked to down to the pier to catch it, we were somewhat disappointed to find the open-top service ended a couple of weeks ago until the Spring!

Buse service notwithstanding, it was still a great day, and I’d recommend it to parents looking for a fun destination as the half term holiday stratches out!
