Sandhurst Road railway bridge – a real bird puller

sandhurst-road-pigeon-bridge2Saturday morning, and we were out in force on Brook Road, Oak Road, Rymers Close and the surrounding area, talking to locals about their concerns.  I’d been told about the pigeon nuisance under the railway bridge on Sandhurst Road, but when I took along a Kent Highways crew one night, we couldn’t see the problem.

When more residents told us about it again today, we took some pictures.  Now I’ve contacted Kent Highways officers and suggested a solution.

Over the last couple of years, some of my Lib Dem colleagues have taken photos of themselves standing under the bridge looking suitably concerned, but unless they hang the pictures under the bridge to scare the birds away, this approach doesn’t seem particularly effective.  Now let’s see if we can get this problem resolved.
