It was a really busy day yesterday – having dropped my eldest off to catch her school bus, my first appointment was a surgery in St James’ ward, where I spoke to several residents about local issues.
Then it was on to a meeting with Town and Country, where we discussed my new “Backing Kent People” campaign and a Kent -wide Credit Union.
I dashed over to Pembury Primary School, where I celebrated Reading Week by reading a story to a group of young children in fancy dress. Then a quick sandwich for lunch with a friend, and back home to deliver some leaflets to local St James’ residents who have kindly offered to deliver them for me.
Then on to Sherwood and a quick coffee and update with colleagues who had spent much of the day delivering sufrveys around the ward, and finally in to Maidstone for a campaign planning meeting…
Home around 9pm, feeling tired but having achieved quite a lot in one day!
