one minute and forty one seconds

One minute and forty one seconds – that’s all it took for England to score the first try in today’s England versus Italy match.  Two minutes and twenty marked two more points with a successful conversion.

The final scoreline of 36-11 gives proof, if proof were needed, that despite embarrassing results against Australia, South Africa and New Zealand last autumn, Martin Johnson’s new lineup stands a really good chance of taking England much further in this Six Nations tournament.

I admire and applaud your optimism, Kevin. I hope we’ll still be celebrating next Saturday evening!
