Maradona – incoherent and ill-informed

Not content with his “Hand of God” incident which robbed England of a possible place in the World Cup semi finals, Diego Maradona has now turned his creative imagination on the 1966 England team.

Apparently, he claims that Geoff Hurst’s final goal didn’t cross the line, and therefore wasn’t a goal.

I can only assume Mr Maradona wants to guarantee column inches in the sports pages ahead of tomorrow’s Scotland/Argentina match.

Shame Mr Maradona undermines the memory of his days as an undoubtedly world class player by incoherent and ill-informed rantings now.

  1. Steve says:

It’s the drugs… I think he meant the previous goal…

Anyway what would a volleyball player know about football…..
